Basic Operations over OpenCart Customers

OpenCart customer list is accessible to the right. Operations, possible over customers, are given on the toolbar and in the context menu. It is possible to create new customer records, alter customer related data, delist unused records, filter shoppers by groups they belong to or show customers that do not belong to any group, export customers to XLS, HTML, XML, CSV files.

Add New Customer to the List

Oftentimes you need to create new customer record. For that you must designate customer details in Edit Customers window in the lower grid. It becomes active when you click on Add New Customer icon either on the toolbar or in the context menu.

There you will find several tabs. General tab comprises the fields where general information about the client should be specified, namely, customer name, e-mail, telephone, fax. Password is required for customer to access the site privately. For the customer to be put on the newsletter list, you are to enable “Newsletter” option. Define the group, the shopper will fall to, choosing required one from the dropdown.

Transaction might be manually added to the customer in the corresponding tab. Input transaction description, amount paid and click Apply to add it to the list. Every transaction added will be displayed in the list.

Customer addresses should be added in appropriate tab of the form after certain details are inputter.

Location of customer’s computer network will be displayed in IP Address tab of the edit form. It can not be added or modified. It will be automatically detected and added to information on OpenCart customers.

Change OpenCart Customer Details

Not infrequently you might need to change some details on this or that client. It is possible to modify customer associated information in the Edit Customer form. Find target customer in the list and press Edit Selected Customer icon on the toolbar or context menu.

All the customer related information will be accessible in the lower grid as it is described above. Switch between the tabs and alter required information.

Whenever some of OpenCart clients are unnecessary and you want to remove them from the list, highlight them and press Delete icon on the toolbar or in the context menu. After confirming the removing in the dialog box specified shoppers will be delisted.

To derive the latest information, for example, after the connection has been changed, OpenCart customer list should be refreshed pushing Delete icon on the toolbar or in the context menu.
