Bulk Edit OpenCart Customer Details

Bulk editing of customers is a way for OpenCart shop owners to work very quickly on a lot shopper accounts when the same changes need to be implemented. Approve new customers, make them enabled, assign all of them to particular customer group, in case of some promotion add some reward points to shoppers account - all of these and much more can be some in a few clicks, opposed to one-at-a-time changes.
We often hear from the customers that they do not want to have a degree in Computer Science in order to perform some actions. So, do not worry, the task will not involve some coding or technical skills, in case you will do it via Store Manager for OpenCart!
The application allows to perform massive adjustments of customer-related details just within a few seconds and using a few mouse-clicks.
To bulk edit OpenCart customer information there is no need to open separate windows or switch from page-to-page.
Imagine that a considerable amount of new shopper were registered at your web shop and they are not assigned to any customer group. It is more convenient to manage clients when they are grouped. So you simply need to select the clients to be assigned to client group.
For the mentioned purpose in Store Manager there included very useful built-in filter option “Show the ones without customer group”. Next select some specific clients or all of them (clicking Ctrl+A).
Then in “General” tab of lower grid choose the field “Customer Group”. From the drop-down appearing, select the group to which chosen clients will be linked.
For the changes to be saved you need to press “Apply” button.
Now you go through the customer list and see for each group assigned.
Next you need to let’s say add reward points to the clients belonging to one of groups you have. It is helpful means to reward loyal customers and make them return for more.
So, you select filter “Filter by selected customer group” and on the left, in the section Customer Groups select the one you will further be working with.
On the right you will see clients belonging to chosen group. Select them and open tab “Reward points”.
Select “Add new” action of the menu and indicate value for points, description (note) and date it was added.
Again, you need to confirm that you would like to save this action pressing “Apply” button in the right corner.
