How to Export OpenCart Orders
Date: November 8, 2018
Sometimes, you may need to export OpenCart orders data to spreadsheets to analyze it or make some statistics etc. Currently, OpenCart admin does not provide such function.
In such case you can resort to Store Manager for OpenCart. The application allows to filter the orders by date and status and then export them to a range of formats including .csv, .xls, .xlsx, .xml, .txt or .html. The whole procedure can be accomplished in a few clicks.
How to Export OpenCart Orders?
- Open 'Store' tab and move to 'Orders' section.
- Use the filters on the right and filter out the orders by selecting the necessary date range and order status (to ignore the status, check the box). You can also filter orders by specific periods (today, yesterday, this week, last 3 months etc.). Set the filters and press 'Apply'.
- Tap 'Export Grid' button and select the OpenCart export orders file format.
- Specify the place to save the file to and press OK.

Group Orders Based On Data Columns by Drag'n'Drop
The flexibility of exporting orders via Store Manager allows to previously organize the export file layout in a custom way. For example, you can group the orders based on any of the available data columns or on a couple of them.

To do that, use the 'Group Box' option and drag the column you want the orders to be filtered by. If you drag a few columns, they will be linked to each other in a descending manner, that is every column will be subject to the previous one.

In addition, before starting the export you can easily and quickly make changes to the order details including customer data, payment/shipping details and view the order history. You can do this in the left lower grid. On the right, you can find the order total including taxes and subtotal.

It is a good idea to make such exports on regular basis and compare them in order to define your best sales periods or the most loyal customers, or best sellers. Having such data at your disposal can help you at personalization of your sales techniques.
