To call up import /export wizard, select the appropriate action from ribbon menu, toolbar or context menu (appearing after right-clicking at any product).

At the initial step you need to indicate filename and the place where it should be located after the upload is finished. You can also automatically upload file to your FTP, indicating correct access details. This is useful in case you need to remotely provide access to the file to partner or some third-party company.

Next step enables you to select delimiters for proper data separation and parsing. Remember to use identical separators when opening received file using any spreadsheet program.

Base formats window allows to set settings for OpenCart export of data formats and numbers. You can set default values or leave them as they are.

Especially beneficial feature is that you can select fields to be exported. This way you can adjust the file to your needs right during the process, without the need to remove unnecessary fields manually. It is also good when you need to further import the spreadsheet for implementing changes, since you can bring to the file only the columns with data to be updated and row with identificator. This will speed up the procedure of uploading the file back.

Additionally you can set export options and in this way load only selected goods and product images either with image name only or full image path.

The next step allows to once again preview information to be exported, so if necessary you can return and change settings.

After you press “Export” button, the final step will suggest you actions to do with the file after the process. You can open file or folder where it is located right when “Finish” button is pressed or do nothing.
